Isoflavones are secondary vegetable substances.
They have protective functions can act as estrogens in the
body. Estrogen effects of isoflavones are much less powerful
than the actual estrogen hormones (around 1/1000 of the
estrogen hormones). Isoflavones and phyto-estrogens have a
balancing effect when the level of estrogens is low. During
menopause, it can cause less
menopause symptoms. Isoflavones also reduce the
effect of estrogen on cells and skin layers when hormone levels
are high, and essentially reduce the risk of estrogen linked
cancers.
Diseases and troubles in women are uncommon in
countries where large amounts of soybeans are
consumed. This is because soybeans bring to the isoflavones to
the organism.
